The Umbrella Academy season 2 has landed a dizzyingly high score on Rotten Tomatoes, with the second run of the Netflix series currently sitting at 96% fresh.
Audiences will have to wait until Friday (July 31) to start binging the show, but critics that have already seen it seem to unanimously agree that the second season is near-perfect.
The current critical consensus on the site reads: "Proof that time can heal almost all wounds, The Umbrella Academy lightens its atmospheric load without losing its emotional core, giving the super siblings room to grow while doubling down on the time traveling fun."

Adapted from Gabriel Bá and Gerard Way's comic book series of the same name, the first season of the show introduced us to the Hargreaves, a bunch of estranged, super-powered siblings who are brought together to solve the mystery of their father's death.

The second season picks up where the first left off, with the siblings failing to stop an apocalyptic event and needing to travel back in time to fix everything.
However, the family members end up scattered across the early 1960s, with the only upside being that they're all in the Dallas, Texas area.
The Umbrella Academy season 2 lands on Netflix on July 31. Season 1 is available now.
