Oh Thor, the comic relief of the Avengers team. Chris Hemsworth gets to show off his comedic timing, mad action skills, and very good looks as the blond Norse god in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

But Chris Hemsworth is far more than a one trick pony, and has quite a collection of successful big screen outings on his resume that have nothing to do with the comic book hero he is, at present, best known for portraying. Below we look at the very top of all Hemsworth projects to date, according to Rotten Tomatoes.

10 12 Strong - 50%

Based on the book, "Horse Soldiers," 12 Strong saw Hemsworth play Captain Mitch Nelson as he and his special forces team are sent on a post 9/11 mission in Afghanistan. They work to take down the Taliban and its allies in al-Qaeda.

The group face overwhelming odds in a war that is both very new and very dangerous. The performances in the film were praised, though the story wasn't well balanced, especially compared to its real life source material.

9 A Perfect Getaway - 63%

A Perfect Getaway came out in 2009 and starred Hemsworth as Kale, alongside Steve Zahn, Timothy Olyphant, and Milla Jovovich. The film follows Zahn and Jovovich on their honeymoon. While on a hike they find out that another couple has been murdered, and they too will have to fight for their survival.

Hemsworth's Kale begins the movie as one in a pair of slightly creepy hitch hikers who also get embroiled in the murder, though everything is not as it seems. The film was seen as only slightly more interesting than the standard slasher film on screen.

8 Jay & Silent Bob Reboot - 66%

Jay Silent Bob Reboot Clerks Quick Stop

As will be made clear on this list, Chris Hemsworth doesn't need a lot of screen time to make a big impression. In Jay & Silent Bob Reboot, Jay and Silent Bob learn that Hollywood is rebooting an old movie based on them, and the pair again set out on a cross country journey.

Hemsworth appears in a cameo as an actor the pair run into. Kevin Smith said he got Hemsworth on board after hearing the actor mention his own name on a podcast. Hemsworth's manager was also a fan of Smith's Clerks and passed on a message from the director. The rest is movie history.

7 Extraction - 68%

Netflix Extraction

Hemsworth's most recent movie premiered on Netflix and is already part of the actor's top ten. Hemsworth has been praised for his performance as Tyler Rake, a mercenary, who has to protect a drug lord's son.

The stunt work in the film also receives high praise. Overall the film follows Hemsworth's Rake as he works his way through an underworld that includes weapons and drug dealers, that complicate an already fraught mission.

6 Ghostbusters - 74%

Ghostbusters 2016 Chris Hemsworth

Any Hemsworth fan who has seen the actor's performance as Thor, particularly in Thor: Ragnarok, knows that the man has excellent comedic timing.

Hemsworth got to really show off his comedy chops as the secretary to the female ghostbusters in the 2016 reboot. He is hired not so much for his skills, but for his looks, completely flipping the trope of the attractive assistant on its head. Hemsworth, along with Kate McKinnon, really make the movie.

5 Bad Times at the El Royale - 74%

Right up there with the big budget Ghostbusters is Bad Times at the El Royale. Dakota Johnson and Jeff Bridges also star. The movie centers around the run down El Royale hotel, located between Nevada and California. The plot takes one night when seven strangers come together for possible redemption.

There's money hidden somewhere and everyone wants a piece of it. The film is appreciated for its performances, its style, and the genuine fun audiences had watching it.

4 Star Trek Into Darkness - 84%

Once again it's one of Hemsworth's smallest roles that means the most. As a short lived star ship captain and father to Chris Pine's James T. Kirk, the Star Trek series sits among the highest rated films Hemsworth has ever taken part in.

While it's not as highly rated as the first outing of the Enterprise, Star Trek Into Darkness is still enjoyed by fans and critics alike, even if Chris Hemsworth is little more than a flash on the big screen when all is said and done.

3 Rush - 88%

Chris Hemsworth in Rush

Rush saw Chris Hemsworth take on the role of James Hunt, an English playboy in the 1970s. He is the major rival to Niki Lauda (Daniel Brühl) on the Formula 1 circuit.

The rivalry between Lauda and Hunt is the center of the movie, alongside the issues in the men's separate love lives. The movie was directed by Ron Howard and was nominated for two Golden Globe awards, including Best Picture - Drama.

2 The Cabin in the Woods - 92%

The Cabin in the Woods was a horror/comedy released in 2011. Hemsworth starred as one of five college friends who get together at a remote cabin for a little down time. The group get far more than they bargained for when actual zombies get involved. Part of the terror is being manipulated by unscrupulous scientists, but not all of it.

There's a lot more going on than these undergrads planned for when they decided to take a short trip. The movie is beloved for its balance of humor and horror, not always an easy combination to make work.

1 Star Trek - 94%

Before Thor, Chris Hemsworth was best known for his few minutes on screen as George Kirk, father of James T. Kirk, and captain of a Starfleet ship for only a few moments.

Like George Kirk, Hemsworth's role in the movie didn't last long, but it certainly made an impression. It is tied with Avengers Endgame as the highest ranked movie on Hemsworth's Rotten Tomatoes page.
