Tim Robbins is a veteran actor who shines in comedies, gritty dramas, and political satires alike. Like many Hollywood stars, Robbins learned to perform on stage. In high school, Robbins worked on productions at the Theater for the New City, eventually relocating to Los Angeles, where he starred in experimental theatre while developing a television career.

Geena Davis plays Marjorie's daughter, Tess, and Robbins plays Tess's husband Jon. Jon Hamm plays Walter, the holograph who represents a younger version of Marjorie's long-deceased husband, also named Walter.

6 Dark Waters (2019) - 90%

Todd Haynes directs this legal thriller about a lawyer who took on DuPont, one of America's largest chemical companies. Mark Ruffalo plays Robert Bilott, the lawyer who spent 20 years pursuing the company for contaminating Parkersburg, West Virginia with unregulated chemicals.

Robbins reunites with John Cusack in this sardonic romantic comedy based on Nick Hornby's novel of the same name. Cusack plays Rob Gordon in High Fidelity, a record store owner who decides to track down his ex-girlfriends in order to understand why his latest relationship fell apart.

Donning sunglasses and a ponytail, Robbins plays the current lover, Ray, of the woman Rob still loves: Laura. Rob begins harassing Laura, played by Iben Hjejle, and Ray.

4 Shortcuts (1993) - 95%

Robert Altman's Short Cuts is a layered, ensemble drama that pays tributes to the short stories and poems of American writer Raymond Carver. Set in Los Angeles instead of Carver's beloved Pacific Northwest, the film dives into the lives of 22 main characters, exploring the roles luck and chance play in their lives.
