Three episodes of Season 2 of Amazon's The Boys have released so far, and critics are showing their love wholeheartedly, with the series currently sitting on an astounding 97% certified fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes, something that Giancarlo Esposito, who joined the show as a major antagonist in Season 2, is very excited about.
Esposito posted a video on Twitter, in which he presents the audience with 98 fresh tomatoes, one for each percent of the Rotten Tomatoes rating. Declaring that, "when you say tomatoes, I say The Boys," the actor signed off with a reminder to fans to watch the latest episodes of the show. (At the time that he posted his video, the series sat at 98%. It has since gone down by 1%.)
After making a brief appearance in the first season of The Boys, Esposito was brought on board for an extended role in Season 2 as Vought CEO Stan Edgar. He has also appeared in Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul and The Mandalorian.
Streaming now on Amazon Prime Video, The Boys stars Karl Urban as Billy Butcher, Jack Quaid as Hughie, Laz Alonso as Mother's Milk, Tomer Kapon as Frenchie, Karen Fukuhara as the Female, Erin Moriarty as Annie January, Chace Crawford as the Deep, Antony Starr as Homelander, Aya Cash as Stormfront and Simon Pegg as Hughie's dad.
