  • Rotten tomatoes to all the people taking their kids to Cloverdale Catholic School between 8:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. and do not stop at the stop sign at 58A and 175th! You are the reason accidents happen.
  • Rotten tomatoes to Surrey’s mayor, who wants to get rid of the RCMP. Did anyone notice the last few police officials who have been hired are former RCMP? Also, where is the new hire diversity?
  • Red roses to Edith & Arthur Public House. It’s too bad that this place is now permanently closed. They had a really good breakfast house special that I enjoyed very much. Thanks for the memories.
  • Rotten tomatoes to Surrey residents who refuse to pick up the spill-over litter from their garbage bins after garbage day. The amount of litter on our streets is absolutely shameful. Let’s have a little more pride.
  • Rotten tomatoes to the person who dumps their garbage bags along the road of 70th Avenue and 140th Street near the path to the park. Animals or birds pull it all apart and we have to see baby diapers and all the rest as we are going for our walk. Surely the city has supplied you with a garbage can, or would if you ask.
  • Rotten tomatoes to Surrey’s mayor and city council for only allowing one swimming pool to be open with three one-hour time slots during weekdays and one time slot on Saturday and Sunday. With 24 spots, it’s full all the time. Open all pools!
  • Rotten tomatoes to a store in Surrey that was displaying a sign, “Masks or No Mask we respect your rights.” I for one will not enter your store.
  • A truck load of red roses to the man who handed in my cell phone at Costco on Feb. 4. I can’t thank you enough.
  • Rotten tomatoes to the mail delivery drivers who leave their rubber bands all over the ground in our Provinceton neighbourhood, rather than disposing of them properly or reusing them. I see them at many of the community mailboxes as I walk our dogs every day. It really is an eyesore.
