Ho, ho, ho! You must’ve been good this year, because TV Santa Claus is delivering a ton of great presents this year in the form of holiday-themed marathons, specials, episodes, and movies running through December. The usual suspects are here: Freeform’s 25 Days of Christmas and AMC’s Best Christmas Ever marathons; Netflix, Hallmark and Lifetime’s plentiful Christmas movie offerings (and a Hanukkah one this year, too!); Rankin and Bass special airings.
But there are also new additions to the holiday programming pantheon in 2020, including new HGTV and Food Network specials, several holiday-themed Netflix series (both scripted, like YA adventure Dash & Lily, and unscripted, like Holiday Home Makeover With Mr. Christmas, which is an actual show starring an actual person named Mr. Christmas), and much more.

94th Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade — Featuring Macy’s signature giant character balloons, fantasy floats, marching bands, clowns, celebrity and large group performances, and the one-and-only Santa Claus, the annual spectacle continues to bring families together to create cherished holiday memories, Airs Thursday, Nov. 26 at 9 a.m. (Thanksgiving Day) on NBC live from 34th Street in New York City.
Pinkalicious & Peterrific, “A Fairy Thanksgiving / Pinkfoot Playdate” – In “A Fairy Thanksgiving,” when Pinkalicious and Peter accidentally damage Fairyanna’s Thanksgiving table, they are determined to make things right and give the fairies the most pinkamazing Fairy Thanksgiving yet! Carol Kane stars as Edna the Gnome. And in “Pinkfoot Playdate,” the giant furry monster, Pinkfoot, is back and eager to spend the day with Pinkalicious and her friends, while Pinkalicious struggles to find something that’s pinkaperfect for her oversized pal. In the live-action interstitial, kids use elements from nature to create a fairy house in their backyard. Premieres Monday, Nov. 16 on PBS.
Arthur, “An Arthur Thanksgiving” – Arthur and his family are getting ready for Thanksgiving and it couldn’t be busier! Dad is whipping up his famous turkey dinner while the Lakewood elementary kids are preparing for the annual Thanksgiving parade. But when things start to go off course, Arthur and his friends must find a way to save the Thanksgiving celebration. Premieres Monday, Nov. 16 on PBS.

25 Days of Christmas, Freeform
Beginning Tuesday, Dec. 1, watch a nonstop slate of Christmas favorites on the network, including Home Alone, The Santa Clause trilogy, Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Miracle on 34th Street, Love Actually, and many more. This year sees the network premieres of Almost Christmas, the 2018 film Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch, Daddy’s Home 2, and more. Catch multiple airings of classics Frosty the Snowman and Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, including a special Christmas Day showing.
Best Christmas Ever, AMC
It’s already Christmas on AMC, which began airing its more than 800 hours of Christmas programming on November 2, with the event lasting all the way through December 25. Catch holiday favorite films including National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, The Polar Express, Love Actually, Frosty’s Winter Wonderland, ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas and Jack Frost (the majority of which will available on-demand on AMC.com and the AMC app). Holiday Crafters Gone Wild — Jay Manuel hosts a competition of epic decorative proportions in this two-hour special, which will see four teams of talented holiday craft aficionados battle it out to win a $10,000 cash prize and the title of ultimate holiday craft champion. With challenges ranging from over-the-top tablescapes to one-of-a-kind tree toppers, designer Kim Myles and celebrity party planner Michael Russo will grade on creativity, complexity and craftsmanship. Premieres Friday, Nov. 20, at 9 p.m. on HGTV.
All Is Calm: The Christmas Truce of 1914 — PBS presents the remarkably true story of a brief moment of camaraderie, music and peace between Allied and German soldiers during World War I in this hybrid of documentary theater, weaving a cappella period songs and firsthand quotes and letters from 30 World War I figures brought to life by 10 actors. The production features WWI patriotic tunes, trench songs, medieval ballads and Christmas carols from England, Wales, France, Belgium and Germany. Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer — Based on the hit song that became a worldwide holiday phenomenon, this goofy and heartwarming adventure features young Jake Spankenheimer on the quest of a lifetime to track his missing Grandma down on Christmas Eve to prove that Santa Claus is indeed real. Airs Friday, Nov. 27 at 8 p.m. and Monday, Dec. 21 at 8 p.m. on The CW.
Frosty the Snowman — That “jolly, happy soul” whose old silk hat full of magic has turned him into a musical Christmas legend, once again demonstrates his unique showmanship. Narrated by Jimmy Durante, the special also includes the voices of Jackie Vernon (as Frosty) and Billy De Wolfe (as Professor Hinkle). Airs Friday, Nov. 27 at 8 p.m. on CBS.
Frosty Returns — There’s still more magic as Frosty (John Goodman) returns to continue his adventure and skate on the edge of danger. Jonathan Winters narrates. Airs Friday, Nov. 27 at 8:30 p.m. on CBS.
Robbie the Reindeer: Hooves of Fire — Robbie (voiced by Ben Stiller) must train to compete in the Reindeer Races to become a part of the sleigh team for Santa (voiced by Jim Belushi). The animated special airs Saturday, Nov. 28 at 8 p.m. on CBS.
Robbie the Reindeer: Legend of the Lost Tribe — Robbie (Stiller) battles Blitzen (voiced by Hugh Grant) in an effort to stop his nemesis’s launch of a reindeer theme park. Britney Spears, James Woods, Leah Remini and Jerry Stiller also star. Airs Saturday, Nov. 28 at 8:30 p.m. on CBS.
The Story of Santa Claus — This musical holiday special revolves around a gentle toymaker (voiced by Ed Asner), whose only wish is to deliver a toy to every child on Christmas. Betty White and Tim Curry also star. Airs Saturday, Nov. 28 at 9 p.m. on CBS.
Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer — The annual showing of Rankin and Bass’ special, narrated by Burl Ives and based on the song by Johnny Marks, airs Tuesday, Dec. 1 at 8 p.m. on CBS — its 56th consecutive year on the network.
The Hollywood Christmas Parade Greatest Moments — The special will highlight all the greatest and most special moments of the past parades. Airs Friday, Dec. 4 at 8 p.m. on The CW.
The Walking Dead Holiday Special — hosted by Chris Hardwick and featuring fan-favorite cast members, premieres Sunday, Dec. 13 on AMC+.
Greatest Holiday Commercials Countdown 2020 — Hosted by Entertainment Tonight‘s Kevin Frazier and Keltie Knight, this holiday special will countdown the 12 best holiday commercials ever – one for each of the 12 days of Christmas. In addition to the top 12, the special features other great commercials from both the U.S. and abroad, that capture the true spirit of the holiday season – from the heartfelt to the hilarious, from the outstanding to the ridiculous. Airs Wednesday, Dec. 9 at 9 p.m. and Monday, Dec. 21 on The CW.
Silent Night — A Song for the World — This musical film documentary narrated by Hugh Bonneville tells the story of the creation and cultural impact of the world’s most famous Christmas carol, composed in 1818 in Salzburg. Translated into 140 languages, “Silent Night” caused a Christmas ceasefire in World War I, while Bing Crosby’s version is the third best-selling single ever. The cast includes Kelly Clarkson, Joss Stone, John Rhys-Davies, David Foster, Kathrine McPhee, Randy Jackson, Gavin Rossdale, Josh Groban, The Vienna Boys Choir, and more. The Christmas Caroler Challenge — Hosted by Dean Cain and Laura McKenzie, the three-episode two hour-long Christmas caroling competition event series features 10 extraordinary Christmas carol groups, each with their own stylized brand of performance, in celebrating the great Christmas music we have all come to love. Airs Friday, Dec. 11 at 8 p.m. on The CW.
My Lottery Dream Home: Holiday Extravaganza — David Bromstad will show fans how to deck the halls like a lottery winner — but on a realistic budget. The popular HGTV designer will transform a living room into a lush Christmas tree forest, set a spectacular tablescape for a festive dinner party and adorn a home’s exterior with so much holiday razzle dazzle that the whole neighborhood will cheer. Premieres Friday, Dec. 11 at 8 p.m. on HGTV.
Penn & Teller: Merry Fool Us — The magical duo of Penn & Teller is joined by host Alyson Hannigan to help kick off the holiday season with this special complete with magicians, costumes and a Christmas Trophy. Airs Wednesday, Dec. 16 at 9 p.m. on The CW.
You’ll Be Home for Christmas — Albie Mushaney, world-famous strongman and Salem, Oregon-based real estate agent who moonlights as a Santa impersonator, will help first-time homebuyers find their forever home in time for the holidays. Alongside his festive family, Albie will make the houses extra “ho-ho-home-y” by adding special seasonal touches like a fully decorated tree with gifts underneath, stockings hung on the chimney and freshly baked cookies and hot cocoa welcoming them at the door. Premieres Wednesday, Dec. 18 at 10 p.m. on HGTV.
Let’s Make a Deal Primetime — The primetime edition of the game show will be decked out for the holiday with Christmas decorations, and festively themed games and deals. On the third primetime episode, special guest Phil Keoghan, host of CBS’ The Amazing Race and Tough As Nails, joins the series to present one lucky trader with an outdoor adventure-themed trip of a lifetime. Airs Monday, Dec. 21 at 8 p.m. on CBS.
Surprising Santa Claus — Good Morning America‘s Lara Spencer, host of Flea Market Flip, will work with a team of designers, contractors and volunteers to give the town of Santa Claus, Indiana, the biggest Christmas present it has ever received. It will be a race against the clock as the team tackles two surprise home renovations and a special bonus for the town square that will spread holiday cheer to the whole community. Premieres Friday, Dec. 25 at 9 p.m. on HGTV.
Popstar’s Best of 2020 — Presented by Associated Television International and based on polls from Popstar Magazine, host Elizabeth Stanton will count down the greatest and most memorable moments and trends of 2020. Airs Tuesday, Dec. 29 at 8 p.m. on The CW.

A Crafty Christmas Romance — Mandy (Nicola Posener), the owner of a craft and hobby store, discovers an old copy of A Christmas Carol among donations for a book drive. In the book is a letter to Santa from 70 years ago along with a valuable coin. Mandy sets out to find the owner of the book, letter and coin with the help of Jonah (Bradford B. Johnson), a contractor who first came upon and donated the book. Along the way, they find clues that lead them closer to the author, and to each other, but can Mandy return everything to the book owner in time for Christmas and make her own Christmas wish come true? Candy Cane Christmas — Since childhood, Candy Cane Lane has been Phoebe’s (Beverley Mitchell) favorite Christmas tradition of an entire neighborhood decorated for the holidays. This Christmas, however, the neighborhood decides to skip the decorations, crushing her spirits. As Phoebe is searching for a new tradition to cheer her up, she realizes that it’s not the traditions we cherish, but the people we spend them with. The Christmas Yule Blog — Caroline Williams (Sara Canning), a well-known social media travel writer, is given the assignment to cover a hundred-year-old Christmas parade in the small town of Carte De Amor, New Mexico. Not excited about the assignment, Caroline goes anyway and meets a high school music teacher, Oscar Ortiz (Zak Santiago), who introduces her to a side of Christmas that she has never seen, with different traditions and meanings. A Welcome Home Christmas — Chloe (Jana Kramer) has always supported various military organizations, including the town’s Army toy drive for Christmas. This year, she is paired up with Michael (Brandon Quinn), a vet who recently returned home, and together they recruit other veterans and active military personnel to help in the cause. As the community gears up for the Officer’s Christmas Ball, where all the kids will meet Santa Claus and receive their gifts, Michael and Chloe begin to realize the greatest gift this season has been each other’s company. A Very Charming Christmas Town — City girl and travel and lifestyle blogger Aubrey Lang (Natalie Hall) goes to the little town of Solvang for her next holiday vlog piece after it’s voted Most Christmassy Town in the USA. She soon meets Sawyer Larsen (Jon Prescott), a local community coordinator and chocolate shop owner assigned to show her around the small town. At first, the unlikely pairing is at odds but soon start to fall for each other amidst the twinkling lights of the romantic little Danish village. Premieres Sunday, Nov. 8 at 8 p.m. on Lifetime.

Christmas on the Vine — Brooke (Julianna Guill), a young marketing executive, goes back to her hometown excited to relive her Christmas memories, while helping a struggling family-owned winery. Her marketing assignment involves an unlikely partnership with Tyler (Jon Corr), the charismatic, yet stubborn owner of the winery. Brooke quickly learns that the town’s Christmas spirit has disappeared due to a wine conglomerate buying out all of the local wineries. Christmas on Wheels — Ashley (Tiya Sircar) returns to her small hometown to care of her uncle who recently broke his ankle. When she learns that he has sold her Mom’s vintage red convertible, a car that holds many wonderful Christmas memories for Ashley, she is disappointed.
